Georgetown University, a Roman Catholic institution operated by the Jesuits in the Georgetown section of Washington, B.C. The university is coeducational. There are separate undergraduate schools for arts and sciences, business administration, foreign service, languages and linguistics, and nursing. The graduate school offers programs leading to M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, and there are schools of dentistry, medicine, and law. Georgetown was founded in 1789. Its graduates include Bill Clinton.
